Wen.Thur.

Hey all, so I had to work on Wen. and really did not get an opportunity to set up the mirror and then be an observer without getting fired for not doing my job. Today (Thur) I had to go and buy a new cable to connect my digital camera to my new computer. Hopefully by tomorrow I will have some pictures up. Sorry, I'm working on it. Viewers would look at the message and then walk on. Not exactly what I was hoping for. Maybe tomorrow when I set up at the Colorado Mills Mall I will get better reactions than around my work.

Monday and Tuesday progress( erin lee)

This morning I went to a number of different stores seeking inspiration for this installation. I chose a 27.5'' by 19.5'' mirror with a yellow frame. I will apply epoxy resin tonight that displays a stimulating message. The message will be " Was this your big vision?" I want people to take a good look at themselves and realize that their reflections may not be what they hoped and dreamed of as a youth. My main goal will be to make viewers very aware of every wrinkle, every laugh line, the dark circles under the eyes, and look back on their lives. What pain, what happiness, what makes them who they are today in this moment as they stare into the glass. I am planning to position myself a good distance away and attempt to capture the expression on their faces as they read the message on the mirror.
